The Hawfinch assistantAsk why.
Get the facts.

A chat panel on every page of Hawfinch. Ask about your campaigns, routing, leads, reports and email in plain English, and every answer shows what it looked at. It reads and explains. It can't change a thing.

How it works

An assistant you can trust with your account.

Read-only

It can look things up and explain them. It can't pause a buyer, edit a lead or change a setting, so asking a question never changes your account.

Sees what you see

It works with the same permissions as the person asking. It never sees anything the person asking couldn't open in Hawfinch themselves.

Shows its working

Every answer lists what it looked at, so you can check the answer against the source yourself.

How it was routed

Every lead now records why it went where it did.

The moment a lead is routed, Hawfinch writes down what happened, step by step. Open any lead and “How it was routed” tells you, in plain sentences.

  • Each delivery group, in order, and if one was skipped, why: which cap was full and how full it was.
  • The buyers tried and the order they were tried in.
  • The sale, and the buyers never offered the lead because the group had already sold it.
  • Anything switched off at the time.

The record is made by Hawfinch itself as each lead is routed. No AI is involved in making it or showing it.

Facts, not guesses

Answers from what happened, not from what is set now.

Caps fill up and reset, buyers are switched on and off, and groups get reordered. Working out last Tuesday from today's settings gets it wrong. When you ask the assistant “why did this lead…?”, it reads the same routing record you see on the lead, so its answer is what actually happened.

What you can ask

Campaigns, routing, leads, reports and email.

Ask the way you would ask a colleague who knows the account. A few examples:

why didn't this lead go to northfield?which buyer took the most leads this week?which groups are close to their caps?why was this lead rejected?how many leads came in from web today? why didn't this lead go to northfield?which buyer took the most leads this week?which groups are close to their caps?why was this lead rejected?how many leads came in from web today?

Kept in bounds

It explains. You decide.

The assistant is there to answer questions about your account, quickly and with its sources. Anything that changes your setup stays with you and your team.

  • Read-only. It can look things up and explain them, but it can't change anything.
  • Your permissions, not more. It sees only what the person asking can see.
  • Shows what it looked at, under every answer.
  • Contact details masked unless you look up one specific lead.
  • For admins, and switched on for each organisation by a super admin.

Assistant FAQ

Can the assistant change anything?

No. It is read-only: it can look things up and explain them, but it cannot change a campaign, a lead or a setting.

What can it see?

Only what you can see. It works with the same permissions as the person asking, and every answer shows what it looked at. Contact details are masked unless you look up one specific lead.

Who can use it?

Admins. It is switched on for each organisation by a super admin, and once it is on, the chat panel is available on every page of Hawfinch.

How does it know why a lead went where it did?

Each lead now carries a record, made at the moment it was routed, of each delivery group in order, what was skipped and why, which buyers were tried and in what order, the sale, and anything not offered or switched off. The assistant reads that record, so its answers are facts rather than guesses from today's settings.

Do I need the assistant to see the routing record?

No. The record is shown on the lead as “How it was routed”, in plain sentences, and no AI is involved in making or showing it.
